More than just help
We Love Our Community
Creating healthy communities is more than just helping families find stable housing. HHCD helps build strong communities in its areas of service by collaborating with other local organizations to provide “Meet & Greet” opportunities introducing new neighbors, recreational and social events and resource fairs.
HHCD encourages civic engagement by youth and adults through participation in local activities, and collaborates with partners on community-wide planning, programs and development.
HHCD partners with educational, workforce, health, government, community-based and faith-based organizations to join forces to bring more resources and comprehensive services to the community.
Community Building Activities
Encourage civic engagement with resident participation in community policing, neighborhood advisory councils, social events, resident meetings, cultural exchanges and volunteering
Facilitate health and wellness events, mentoring programs, community meetings, holiday celebrations, recreation activities, youth sports and concerts in local parks and community centers

Workforce Development
HHCD helps youth and adults get the training and education they need to find the right jobs for them leading to self-sufficiency. HHCD directly provides assessments, job coaching and career exploration and job placement assistance with local employers at the program service sites, and refers clients to external education and training partners.
Resident & Family Services
Our philosophy of service seeks to guide clients in setting and attaining goals and prevent issues or behaviors that may jeopardize their housing status.
We accomplish this by providing a comprehensive assessment, case management and services for families, seniors and homeless at-risk adults.
